I dreamed this to fruition! This was a two-level bar area before located in our basement. We have no use for a wet bar, so we'd always end up using this space for crafts. I thought to myself often in the last two years of living here how I wished it could be one flat large table where my kids and I could craft and be together. So, while the carpenter was working on building above-the-cabinet ad-ons to our kitchen, we had him build this large table surface. It has been a dream come true. I finally finished painting it white recently and now all I need to do is stain the wood piece. It has been great and we are happy using stained or not-stained! :)
